Lauri J. Stock is a partner in the San Diego law firm Stock Stephens, LLP. Her practice focuses on Family Law and Criminal Defense. Over the past 20 years, Lauri has represented clients in dozens of criminal jury trials and regularly litigates cases in Family Court. In addition, she is a trained and experienced Mediator, has served as a Settlement Judge in Family Court and has served as court-appointed Minor’s Counsel. She holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, signifying the highest rating in legal ability and ethical standards.
With a B.A. from University of Florida, J.D. from University of San Diego and seven years as a naval officer, Lauri began her career at the San Diego City Attorney’s office as a prosecutor and then Police Legal Advisor. She moved into private practice and applied skills acquired as a prosecutor to her criminal defense practice. Her trial experience provided a natural transition to Family Law as a second practice area. Lauri served for two years on the board of directors for the Tom Homann Law Association, San Diego’s gay, lesbian and bisexual bar association, and served on the Police Chief’s Advisory Board. Lauri is also a charter member and past President of the San Diego Uptown Sunrise Rotary Club in Hillcrest, through which she actively participates in local and global service projects such as her 2009 trip to Côte d’Ivoire where she assisted with administering medications to children in the city villages.
